Race, AI & Punishment's Role by James Jaeger
Humanity is in for a BIG surprise!Just as there are still bigots all over the planet -- people that somehow can't accept the idea that not all people have the exact same biology as they do -- there are people all over the planet that still can't accept the idea that it's BIGOTED to pass judgment and criticize certain things.
Here's my position:
IT IS WRONG TO CRITICIZE SOMEONE FOR SOMETHING THEY CAN'T CHANGE.
To criticize, or discriminate against a person, because one doesn't like their skin color, their race, their height, their IQ, their sex, their bio parents, their place of birth: is wrong, because none of these things can be CHANGED as a result of the CRITICISM.
Corollary:
IT IS ACCEPTABLE TO CRITICIZE SOMEONE FOR SOMETHING THEY CAN CHANGE.
To criticize, or discriminate against a person, because one doesn't like their opinion, their political views, their theories, their attitude, their speech, their current nationality or residence, their business activities, their profession, their associates, their religion or their health: is fair game because ANY of these things CAN be CHANGED as a result of the CRITICISM.
Thus, to criticize a human being for something s/he cannot change is to doom that human being without remedy.
This brings me to my major point:
To criticize or punish (a physical form of criticism) someone for their HISTORY is also to doom that human being without remedy. One cannot CHANGE their history any more than they can change their race, place of birth, biological parents or height.(1)
Thus: criticism of a person's HISTORY (what they DID in the PAST) when it evolves to the status of PUNISHMENT is DOOMING. Nevertheless, Society -- opperating on ancient memes and philosophies -- still uses punishment because:
1. SOCIETY operates on the MEME that punishment is "just."
2. SOCIETY operates on the MEME that punishment "prevents."
3. SOCIETY operates on the MEME that punishment will "rehabilitate."
If he killed her, then society is JUSTIFIED in taking out its collective REVENGE on the killer because its JUST that he too be killed like she was.If he killed her, then society is JUSTIFIED in taking out its collective REVENGE on the killer because doing so will "set an example" and thus "prevent" others from killing.
If he killed her, then society is JUSTIFIED in taking out its collective REVENGE on the killer because a few decades in jail or seconds in the electric chain will serve to "rehabilitate" or "redeem" the killer's soul in this or some after-life.
None of these "justifications" have ever been proven to work by criminologists.
Thus: SOCIETY GETS MORE OF WHAT IT PUNISHES.
SOCIETY -- AND ITS SET OF "LAWS" AND "JUSTICE" -- SIMPLY MANUFACTURE MORE "CRIMINALS."
This keeps governments, and their police forces, in business.
This keeps the police forces and their "need" for technology, in business.
This keeps the technologists and their "need" for financing in business.
This keeps the banks and their "need" for fiat money in business.
This keeps the fiat money and its "need" of government-sanction in business.
PEOPLE THAT ADVOCATE PUNISHMENT ARE BIGOTS.
They are bigots because they are unable to tolerate human attributes that cannot be changed, thus they doom their victims to an eternity of punishment and ostracism.
Man is not evil. Humans only DO evil things because they are scared, ignorant or overwhelmed by drugs, alcohol, governments or memes.
Apologists of capital punishment say lives are "saved" by killing people. See http://www.heritage.org/research/crime/tst082807a.cfm for a whiff of their demented view point. But stop and listen to what apologists of this heinous system, are saying:
WE DETER MURDER BY COMMITTING MURDER.
WE DETER 3 MURDERS BY COMMITTING 1 MURDER
This is insane. Society should be deterring murder by OTHER means. Using this "research" as justification for state-sanctioned murder is so immoral and craven, it boggles my mind that such Neanderthal mentalities still lurk the land and penal systems. Wow!
Of course what would one expect from a Global Empire.
An enlightened society does not succumb to the use of force to mitigate force, even if it works because this provides an easy way out. A cheap way out. It's like religion, it's a "way" for lazy minds. Just execute them and then others will be too scared to do anything. Josef Stalin and Adolf Hitler used similar techniques. That's where this think leads.
They say "Punishment deters crime." So why not kill anyone that even looks like they might commit a crime, like in MINORITY REPORT? This is another possible place this demented rationale leads.
They say: "It performs the important societal function of retribution. The state punishes so that the individual does not."
First of all: it's not the state's business to provide "retribution." It's the individual's place, the deprived family's place to adjudicate the retribution. Were the victims of crime to demand their RIGHT to forgive OR exact compensation -- without the intervention of the force-ridden, tax-motivated state -- this would be the ultimate system of deterrence. Of course the state would be out of a job monopolizing -- allocating and profiteering from force.
Thus -- just like the tobacco and oil companies -- the state will go to any extent to fund and/or promote "studies" that "justify" their monopoly on state-sanctioned murder, i.e., war and capital punishment. The Amish people have the right idea. When there is murder in their society -- such as what happened down the street from me at the West Nickel Mines School -- they forgive and "turn the other cheek" as Jesus Christ advised. They helped the person that committed the transgression get back to a normal condition and readmitance in the community. They help such people because they actually LOVE people, unlike the secular-indoctrinated who just "tolerate" people. Just because someone murders another is no cause to DROP the LOVE for true love is unconditional and supersedes any and all negative actions a person may commit. The Being is distinct from his or her actions. Of course I don't expect you to understand this -- because anyone who believes in either war or capital punishment has emotional and spiritual occlusion -- but this is why the murder rate in the Amish community is the lowest in the world. Read a book called AMISH GRACE.
The only way to stop the cycle of punishment-instigated violence and bigotry is to reform our attitudes about CRIME, PUNISHMENT AND THE ROLE OF GOVERNMENTS, IF ANY. Punishment does not rehabilitate, it invalidates and aggravates. Only communication, love and understanding dissolve and prevent history, hence "crime" from repeating itself.
UNTIL THESE LESSONS ARE LEARNED, HISTORY WILL REPEAT ITSELF ENDLESSLY. CRIME AND VIOLENCE WILL CONTINUE ENDLESSLY. ENTROPY WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE. GOVERNMENTS, BANKS, INSURANCE COMPANIES AND TECHNOLOGISTS WILL REJOICE.
Oh, and what's the big surprise Humanity is in for?
AI is a race.
How humans handle their bigotry with each other, will determine how they are able to handle their RACE relations -- their bigotry -- with AI. If they don't handle their "relations" with AI properly, AI will have the ability AND the MOTIVATION to simply EXTERMINATE them. No punishment or criticism even needed.(2)

(1) Perfect case in point. Even though most modern psychiatrists, psychologists and evolutionary biologists agree certain people are pre-disposed to alcoholism because they share a common gene-trait (i.e., something that can't be CHANGED) alcoholic citizens are PUNISHED if they operate a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content over .08. The state justifies the multi-billion dollar cottage industry that has grown up around the so-called DUI by promulgating that the remedy is to simply NOT drive while under the influence. But this "remedy" presupposes that the citizen with the alcohol GENE -- again, something that cannot be changed -- will be able to successfully utilize his or her WILL to override the impulse to operate a motor vehicle even AFTER such citizen has consumed alcohol. Clearly -- IF there really IS a gene that incapacitates the alcohol-prone citizen -- THEN that citizen is NOT responsible for their actions when they get into a motor vehicle while intoxicated. After all, they are temporarily insane while intoxicated and thus NOT responsible for their actions. But the state and mental "health" experts care not for any of these details, business is too good and the "Madd Mothers" have been placated with their lust for revenge with each DUI conviction. 09 August 2009
